Each month, I try out new book subscription box services. I always receive a box from OwlCrate, as it is my favorite, and consistently has the best quality products included. Unfortunately this month I forgot to try out another box, so I will just be talking about the June OwlCrate box this month. But next month, be on the lookout for another new box!!
June OwlCrate: Summer Lovin’
The theme for the June OwlCrate box was Summer Lovin’. I totally didn’t even notice, until another blogger pointed it out (I wish I could remember who that was…I’m sorry I have old lady brain!) that the spoiler card artwork includes products from past OwlCrate boxes (the Harry Potter tote bag, the copy of Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston, and apparently the water bottle). I thought this was a really cool and creative touch!
The first item I pulled out of the box was this really awesome mason jar mug! It was designed exclusively by Michelle Gray and Team OwlCrate. It reads ‘Book Worm and Proud’. ❤️
The next item was this super cute microfiber towel that reads ‘My Summer is all Booked’. It was designed by the ever-so-talented Stella Bookish Art.
This cactus pen from BC Mini is really cute, and has a very nice writing feel. I have enjoyed using this pen a lot 🙂
Anytime there is tea from Riddle’s Tea Shoppe I get super excited, because their tea is always delicious. I haven’t tried this one yet, but apple and peach certainly sounds like the perfect summer blend. It was inspired by Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson. I haven’t yet read this one (don’t throw things at me!)
I also get really excited anytime there is a new bookmark from Ink and Wonder Designs! I love that they use wood to make their bookmarks, and they always have the most beautiful artwork. This one is inspired by Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz (I also haven’t read this one, but I really want to!)
This little guy kind of spoils what the book of the month is…
Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.
When mystery man “N” begins emailing her, Twinkle is sure it’s Neil, finally ready to begin their happily-ever-after. The only slightly inconvenient problem is that, in the course of movie-making, she’s fallen madly in love with the irresistibly adorkable Sahil.
Twinkle soon realizes that resistance is futile: The romance she’s got is not the one she’s scripted. But will it be enough?
Told through the letters Twinkle writes to her favorite female filmmakers, From Twinkle, with Love navigates big truths about friendship, family, and the unexpected places love can find you.
I had literally just bought When Dimple Met Rishi by Menon when I got this box in the mail, so it was perfect timing!! I’m excited to dive into both of these titles! As always, the book was signed by the author, and came with a letter from her as well. And the colors on the cover are exclusive to OwlCrate.
I really liked the June Summer Lovin’ OwlCrate box! If you are interested in getting your own OwlCrate box, you can use my link to get started!
This is kind of unrelated, but I received this notification the other day, and I got so excited!!
I started this blog back in February because I wanted to have a place where I could talk about books and other bookish things with people who love to do the same! (Also to give my husband a break from listening to me wax poetic about all of the books I read 😉 ) I never thought I would have this many people following me and reading what I have to say! So, thank you!! I love y’all and I love this amazing community! ☺️
I hope you enjoyed my unboxing! I will be back here next month to talk about my July subscription boxes so make sure you follow me to be notified when it goes up!
Did you get the June OwlCrate box? What did you think of it?
Have you read either From Twinkle, With Love or When Dimple Met Rishi? Did you like them?
Is there another subscription service that you think I should try out? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
