Monthly Wrap-Up: September

This month I read a total of 11 books, but a lot of them were audio books. It always looks like I am constantly reading, but it is really because I drive a delivery van and I always have an audio book going haha

Let’s get to it!

Getting Personal:

September was the month for visitors at my house. My best friend, Tiara, came to visit from Colorado, and she stayed at my house for a week. It was fantastic, because I so rarely get to see her in person anymore. ❤️  My parents came to town this past weekend from Texas and stayed with me as well. I only get to see them about twice a year, so it was great getting to have them here as well.

Other than that, I went to a book signing for Jane Mount’s new book, Bibliophile, with my friend, Taylor. I had my monthly tea party, and my monthly book club meeting. I also got to go to a Deborah Harkness book signing for her new book, Time’s Convert, with my friend, Jessica.

Nathan and I also had to go get fingerprinted for our immigration paperwork for our adoption. We ended up getting our immigration paperwork back very quickly (and we were approved, yay!) so that is one more big step down in our adoption journey. 😄

My October TBR Pile:

october2018TBR

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

Bookish Boyfriends: A Date with Darcy by Tiffany Schmidt

Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco

The Witch of Willow Hall by Hester Fox

Children of Blood and Bone is my book club pick this month. I’m about 200 pages in, and I foresee finishing it in the next couple of days. I’m going to attempt to get Ash Princess, Bookish Boyfriends, and Escaping from Houdini read in the next couple of weeks because all three of those authors are going to be at the Southern Festival of Books this year, and I want to have their books finished before I see them. And The Witch of Willow Hall is a NetGalley ARC that I really should have already finished by now, as tomorrow it it’s publication date…

How many books did you read last month? Have you read any of the books I read? What about the books on my TBR for October? Let me know down in the comments!

Love and happy reading,
