Bookish Naughty or Nice Tag

bookishnaughtyornicetag

I was tagged to do the Bookish Naughty or Nice Tag by Reg @ Bookish In Bed. If you aren’t following her, what are you waiting for? She is one of the first bloggers I followed after I started mine, and she has been so helpful and encouraging to me 🙂

This tag was originally started by Jenn @ Jenniely. Her blog is beautiful, and you should go check her out!

The Rules:

  • Tag and link the person who tagged you
  • Tag and link me/this post (so I can read your answers!!)
  • Tick/cross off the ones you’ve done
  • Tag another 10 people!

Received an ARC and not reviewed it  √

I have an embarrassing number of ARCs that I have yet to review, both physical and digital.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on NetGalley

I am currently sitting at a 71% feedback rating on NetGalley *brushes off shoulder*

Rated a book on Goodreads and promised a full review was to come on you blog (and never did)

I generally review books on my blog and then post that review to Goodreads, so I guess my answer for this has to be no. I will give a book a star rating on Goodreads right away, but a full review depends on whether or not I write a review up for it on here

Folded down the page of a book  √

I have almost certainly done this. Generally it is in a non-fiction book that I want to go back and reference later.

Accidentally spilled on a book  √

I read while eating all of the time, so this is an absolutely…much to my dismay

DNF a book this year  √

I am not shy about putting down a book that I am not enjoying. There are far too many good books in the world for me to waste my time on one that I don’t enjoy!

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it  √

I have done this with collectors editions of books that I have already read and love – Pride and Prejudice, City of Bones,  and Fangirl are the three I can think of off the top of my head. They’re so pretty 😍

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework, etc.)  √

I cannot think of a specific instance, but I can almost guarantee that I have done this. Reading is my favorite form of procrastination 🙂

Skim read a book  √

I do this sometimes with non-fiction books that I want to get through quickly.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal  √

I missed my goal last year by about 25 books. But I have made up for it in spades this year!

Borrowed a book and not returned it

I always return books. I have a fear of breaking the rules and getting in trouble haha

Broke a book buying ban  √

I. Have. No. Self. Control.

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about

I don’t start reviews and then leave them unfinished. What is more likely to happen is that I read a book and then wait forever to even start to write the review about it and forget what the book was about.

Wrote in a book you were reading  √

I do this all of the time! Generally in non-fiction books that I want to go back and reference later. I also write in my Bible a lot, underlining important passages and writing notes in the margins.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads  √

There are certain books that I don’t really feel like including on my Goodreads.

Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend

Again, I don’t like people to get mad at me, so I always return things I borrow! (Also, if we are friends and I have not returned a book I borrowed from you, please tell me and don’t be mad!!)

Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book

I’m pretty sure I have always let people borrow books…some of which I have never gotten back ☹️

Broke the spine of someone else’s book

I cannot recall ever doing this.

Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged  √

I don’t remember specifically doing this, but I have a hard time imagining myself not having done this.

Sat on a book accidentally √

Ditto the above answer.

Grand Total:

13 / 20

So…I guess I have been fairly naughty haha

Lol! We definitely have some of these in common 🤣. I’m on a constant book buying ban. ☺ I enjoyed reading this. Thanks so much for this tag! I can’t wait to do it. 💚❤💚
