Kat’s Questions

1: What is a quote you think about often?

The quote that pops into my head the most is from the Bible.

“Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.” – 2 Timothy 4:12

2: Why did you start blogging?

I have always loved to talk about books, and sometimes I feel like I overwhelm my poor husband with talk about what I’m reading. I have also always loved writing. So, I thought I would combine these two loves and make a book blog where I could talk to other bookish people!

3: What are some of your blogging goals?

I don’t know if I have any concrete blogging goals. I guess I would like to gain more followers so that I can have more conversations. I would like to do some blog collaborations. I also like the idea of one day starting my own blog book club.

4: Who is your favorite fictional character?

This is such a hard question, but I will have to say Elsha from Winter of Fire by Sherryl Jordan. She is fierce, strong, and full of girl power 😉 She has always been inspiring to me.

5: What is one thing on your bucket list?

I would love to travel more. I would specifically love to travel all over Europe, but I’m not too picky!

6: What song always peps you up and gets you excited for life?

It’s really hard to pick a specific song, so I will say pretty much any musical theatre song! My favorite shows are Wicked, Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, and Hamilton.

7: What is your idea of a perfect Friday night?

I really love snuggling on the couch with my husband and two dogs while we watch Netflix, read and play video games.

8: Who is the most inspiring person for you?

I have always been inspired by female entertainers. Some of the women who inspire me are Julie Andrews, Bette Midler, Barbra Streisand, P!nk, and so many others I can’t name them all

9: What one piece of advice would you give someone starting out in the blogging world?

Write about what you are passionate about. Also, read and comment on other’s blogs.

10: Where do you see yourself one year from now?

Well, we are in the process of adopting, so in a perfect world we will have our little one here a year from now. 🙂

11: What is your favorite childhood memory?

Probably performing in my voice teacher’s summer shows. I took voice lessons from the age of 11 and we always did an amazing, scripted show every summer. It gave me so much confidence as a performer and helped me to find my stage presence and my sound.
