Things I Posted:

I’m back! ~ 7 Classics That I Love

I only posted two times in August because I just came off of my blogging hiatus! I will talk more about what I’ve been up to in the next section πŸ™‚

Getting Personal:

So, I’m a mom now! It still feels weird to say that out loud. It feels far too grown up, and I’m not an adult yet! πŸ˜‚

The past two months have been amazing and incredibly hard. Parenthood is so much harder than I ever thought it would be (and I thought it would be really hard!) But, it is also very rewarding when your child starts to learn new things and starts to trust you more and show you more affection.

So, overall, the past two months were a whirlwind of traveling to China to bring our daughter home and every doctor visit you could possibly imagine! My parents came up to visit and our daughter has met the vast majority of our friends who live in town.

I am still learning how to be a mom and be Whitney at the same time. I know it is going to take some time to really get into a solid routine, and I’m just trying to enjoy the ride and be patient in the meantime.

My September TBR Pile:

September2019TBR

I Was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon

The Widow of Pale Harbor by Hester Fox

Six Goodbyes We Never Said by Candace Ganger

Bibliophile: An Illustrated Miscellany by Jane Mount

How many books did you read this month? Have you read any of the books I read? What about the books on my TBR for September? Let me know down in the comments!Β

Love and happy reading,

  1. Absolutely wonderful wrap-up! I am particularly intrigued by ‘The Kiss Quotient’ – I love autism rep!
Also, I am sending you one billion congratulations on your successful adoption! It must feel so amazing, yet strange to be a mother. Being a mother someday is one of my dreams, so seeing someone as wonderful as you succeed at it is really inspiring.

Also, your bio says you like to play The Sims? And you’re a dog person? Are we twins?? Lol!

    Sending love,

    Zoe

    1. Thanks! The Kiss Quotient was really fun! It is a little racy, just to forewarn you if you aren’t into that haha
It definitely is amazing and strange. We are still getting into a routine, but it is way easier already than it was when we got home two months ago.
I do love The Sims! It is one of my creative outlets – and I watch lots of Let’s Plays and build videos on YouTube. And I have two chihuahua mixes 🐢🐢❀️
