Flora has a lot of issues, but she makes all sorts of amazing Scottish goodies! Every time Jenny Colgan describes the food in this book, it makes my mouth water!

2: One Character Who Has Money to Fund the Party

Mr. Bingley from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

This answer is two-fold: Mr. Bingley certainly has enough money to throw a great party, but he is also just a delightful human being! I feel like any party thrown by him would be fantastic, as well as full of…umm…interesting moments 😉

3: One Character Who Might Cause a Scene

Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare

If there is anything that Will is good at, it is certainly making a scene. But, obviously in the most splendid way possible! He would certainly keep the party lively.

4: One Character Who is Funny/Amusing

Lady Jane Grey from My Lady Jane by The Lady Janies

While she might have her head stuck behind a book for much of the evening (that’s my kind of girl right there), when she does take notice of the rest of the party, she is certain to have many a witty thing to say. (I couldn’t stop laughing while reading this book!)

5: One Character Who is Super Social/Popular

Magnus Bane from The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare

You absolutely cannot throw a good dinner party without inviting Magnus! He is precious and wonderful, and I just love him okay?!

6: One Villain

Lira from To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo

Okay, so she is more of an anti-hero than a villain, but Lira is just too awesome not to invite her. I hope that Mr. Bingley has a really large tank in which to put her…

7: One Couple – Doesn’t Have to Be Romantic

Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I cannot have a party without Elizabeth Bennet!! Her witticisms and brilliance will make the party have so much more sparkle! Plus, with Mr. Bingley hosting the party, Mr. Darcy is far more likely to actually show up!

8: One Hero/Heroine

Starr Carter from The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

I would absolutely love to see the dynamic between Starr and some of the other people at this dinner party! She is not afraid to speak her mind, so I see some really fun conversations happening.

9: One Under-appreciated Character

Peeta Mellark from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I have always been Team Peeta! I know a lot of people find him to be kind of a blah character, but I have always really liked Peeta. He is kind, funny, caring, and artistic. And he has a marshmallow heart that is too good for this world!!

10: One Character of Your Own Choosing

Suze Simon from The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot

Suze would be such a fun dinner guest! She can talk to ghosts (and on occasion kiss them 😉 ) and I just think she would add some color to an already colorful guest list!
