Getting Personal:
Here are a few things that happened in my life this month:
- I got to help lead worship at my church’s Women’s Event. It was such a lovely evening, and I was so honored to be asked to help lead these ladies in worship.
- We took a family trip to Colorado to visit two of my best friends from college! It was a fantastic trip, and we got to make some really beautiful memories there 🥰
- I got to go to a book signing for Cassandra Clare’s new book, Sword Catcher! It was exciting to get to finally meet her after so many years of reading and loving her work!

- I finally got to attend a meet up with some other local bookish Instagrammers! We met up at a book store to do some shopping and then had dinner together. I’m hoping I can go to the next one too!
- My daughter and I got to go to two different Trunk or Treat events together. It is so much fun getting to experience childhood again through her eyes 😍

Love and happy reading,

Looks like you had a great month! I managed to read 10 books, my favourite being ‘Recursion’ by Blake Crouch. I’m interested to see what you think of ‘XOXO’ in November… that’s on my wishlist too.

I’ve never read anything by Blake Crouch. What genre does he write in? I’m hoping XOXO is as good as its synopsis makes it sound ☺️

Blake Crouch is typically science fiction. There was a tv series adapted of his Wayward Pines novels a while back, and ‘Dark Matter’ gained popularity in the last 2-3 years (there’s a film adaptation of that too.) I went ham in Halloween with lots of horror and sci-fi. Do you have any favs in these genres?
