I’m posting this a little bit late this month, but better late than never, right? This month I read a total of 10 books! I made my yearly goal smaller this year, so I am definitely on track to hit my goal of 100 books for the year. I am, once again, doing a ton of different reading challenges, so I will be including those in my monthly wrap-ups as well.
Let’s get into it!
There are so many amazing sounding books coming out this year! I am so excited for them, and I wanted to share with you the ones that I’m looking forward to the most.
Do you like to read seasonally? At this time of year, I enjoy reading books about the holiday season, as well as moody, atmospheric winter stories. If that sounds up your alley, then I have a great list of Christmas and winter reads that you should pick up this holiday season!
We all know that it is exciting to find a great series that you can get into, in large part because you can then dive into that world over the course of multiple books. But, what about fantastic stand-alones? I personally love a great stand-alone since I can get a complete story in one go. Sometimes you don’t want to invest all of your reading time into a long series. This is where stand-alones are the perfect thing to pick up!

There is a bit of a debate amongst readers about whether audiobooks actually count as reading. In my opinion, they absolutely do! You are listening to the book, yes, but you are still receiving and retaining the story or information just as you would with a physical book. I didn’t start getting into audiobooks until a few years ago, and now they comprise a large portion of my reading each year!
If you are new to audiobooks, or are just looking for new ones to listen to, then this list is a good place to start! These are some of my favorite audiobooks that I have ever read:
I am a huge fan of historical fiction, as well as historical non-fiction. I just recently finished reading The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank for the first time (loved it!), and it made me think about all of the great literature out there about WWII. I thought it would be fun to make a list of my favorite books from that era of history.
