I just started The Eye Opener, which is a book of short stories. I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for a review, and I’m excited to dive into this one! Be on the lookout for my review on Monday!

I am listening to Belgravia on audiobook, and right now I’m not super into it. I absolutely love the narrator (Juliet Stevenson’s dulcet tones make me so happy!), but the story hasn’t really grabbed me yet.

Alright, this is getting ridiculous, I know!! So, I’m going to start posting what percentage of Dragonfly in Amber I’m currently sitting on (as I’m reading this in e-book form), so as to shame me and kick my booty into gear!! Right now, I’m at 21%.

What did you recently finish reading?

Crash Override was my book club’s pick for the month of July, and I was not really looking forward to it as it is not the kind of book I generally pick up. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Quinn was able to explain a lot of the technical jargon in layman’s terms, as well as insert some much needed humor to the more grim sections. All of this to say, I feel much more informed now, and it was a much easier read than anticipated! (4 Stars)

I have had Girl Online on my TBR for a while now, and since I’m a fan of Zoe’s YouTube channel, I thought this would be a good read. Unfortunately, I was not super impressed. I really liked the storyline, but the execution in the quality of her writing was not great. (3 Stars)

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have heard really great things about this series, so I figured I would go ahead and give Stalking Jack the Ripper a go! Also, Kerri Maniscalco is going to be at the Southern Festival of Books in October, so I want to try to get this series read before I see her in person!

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe has been on my TBR for a while, and it is consistently included on tons of people’s lists of their favorite books, which tells me I need to see what I’ve been missing out on! I just got the audio book from the library, so as soon as I’m done with Belgravia, I will start on this one.
