Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I Haven’t Read, But Want To

It is Top Ten Tuesday! It is a meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Authors I Haven’t Read, But Want To. There are so many authors that fall into this category. I actually had to edit my initial list because I had about 20 on there. So, here are my top 10 authors who I hope to read soon!!

Lyssa Kay Adams

The Bromance Book Club series

~ I have been wanting to read The Bromance Book Club ever since it first came out, and now it is a whole series and I still haven’t started it. Not sure what is holding me up, but she was the first author I thought of when I saw this prompt!

Sabaa Tahir

An Ember in the Ashes series

~ I have seen so many people wax poetic about An Ember in the Ashes, and I still haven’t started it. I own the first book, and it just taunts me every time I pass it by. I’m hoping to start it this year, but we will see.

Anna-Marie McLemore

Blanca & Roja; Wild Beauty; The Weight of Feathers

~ I have several books by Anna-Marie McLemore on my TBR shelf, and I still have yet to actually pick one of them up. I’m hoping to change that this year as well.

Roald Dahl

Matilda; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; The Witches

~ It kind of boggles my mind that I have never actually read any of Roald Dahl’s books. I have seen so many movies based on his books, but never read one. I’m hoping to get to at least one of them this year.

Brigid Kemmerer

A Curse So Dark and Lonely series

~ This is another series that I meant to start a long time ago and just never got around to. And now I’m nervous that I have over-hyped it in my head. Hopefully it will live up to all I have anticipated it will be.

T.J. Klune

The House in the Cerulean Sea; Under the Whispering Door

~ The House in the Cerulean Sea was so hyped last year and I just never picked it up. I own it. I am fully capable of reading it at any time. I just haven’t done it yet.

Christina Lauren

Autoboyography; Love and Other Words; Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating

~ So many people absolutely love Christina Lauren books, and I have so many of them on my ‘want to read’ shelf on Goodreads. Maybe I will actually pick one of them up this year. Which one would you start with?

Lisa Maxwell

The Last Magician series

~ I saw Lisa Maxwell speak at a book convention a few years ago, and I bought her book The Last Magician then. It has been sitting on my shelf ever since. Why do I do this?

K.A. Tucker

The Simple Wild series

~ The Simple Wild book series has been recommended to me so many times and I still haven’t started it. I’m pretty sure I will love it…just as soon as I pick it up already.

Stuart Turton

The 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

~ The fact that I have still not read The 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is incredibly frustrating to one of my dear friends. I really, really intend to finally read it this year!!

How about you? What authors do you want to read, but haven’t gotten around to yet? Have you read any of the authors I listed above? Which books of theirs are your favorites? Let’s chat in the comments!

Love and happy reading,

Whitney
