I love music – I even majored in it in college. And I, obviously, love reading. I got to thinking about what books I have read that tie together my two loves. So, voila, here is a list of the books that I have enjoyed that revolve around music. Enjoy!

Hello!! My name is Whitney, and I love books! I spend a huge amount of time reading (way more time than I should, if we are being perfectly honest!) I am currently working as a library page at a branch of my local public library. I live in Texas with my husband, daughter, and my dogs, who are a total mess and generally are my reading buddies. I also love to sing, hike, play The Sims, watch tons of YouTube videos, and drink creamy tea and coffee.

#MiniReview: Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer. I was surprised by this book. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. All of that to say that this was a super weird book and I kind of hated the narrator. It definitely held my interest, but I don’t really have any desire to continue the series. Also, that cover is hideous 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Q: Do you prefer hardback or paperback books? 📖📚
This year, I have started to find that I enjoy sci-fi more than I ever thought I would 😱 I will say though that I absolutely need a good romance to make me love it. ❤️
#MiniReview 28: Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. This book was definitely a little more interesting than the first one. I absolutely love Nikolai and want more of him ❤️ I have to say, I find Alina to be kind of frustrating. Hopefully the last book will redeem her for me a bit. I am really loving this world and these characters. I can’t wait to see how the trilogy ends! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Q: How do you feel about love triangles? ❤️📖🤷🏻‍♀️
#MiniReview 27: Shadowsong by S. Jae-Jones. I’m glad I finally read the conclusion to this series. I was a huge fan of Wintersong. This book is much more introspective, but very important. It is the author’s perspective on bipolar disorder (which was not a known disease in the time period of this book). I did wish that we had more time in the Underground in this book, but I appreciate what Jae-Jones was doing here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
