Goodreads Synopsis:

As the daughter of the most powerful trader in the Narrows, the sea is the only home seventeen-year-old Fable has ever known. It’s been four years since the night she watched her mother drown during an unforgiving storm. The next day her father abandoned her on a legendary island filled with thieves and little food. To survive she must keep to herself, learn to trust no one and rely on the unique skills her mother taught her. The only thing that keeps her going is the goal of getting off the island, finding her father and demanding her rightful place beside him and his crew. To do so Fable enlists the help of a young trader named West to get her off the island and across the Narrows to her father. Continue reading “Book Review: Fable”

Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag

color books on grey wooden backgroundI have seen a ton of Booktube channels doing the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag, and it made me want to give it a go!

I realize we are a bit past “mid-year” by now, but I was kind of on an unofficial hiatus when “mid-year” hit, so I am doing it now! This seemed like such a fun way to talk about the books I have read so far this year, especially since there were a few months where I didn’t post anything here. Monthly Wrap-Up: July 2020

Wow, it has been a hot minute since I was last here! I’m sorry for disappearing for so long. Grad school has been way more consuming than I thought. I am winding down on the end of my second course, and I am finally feeling like I can come up for air a little bit. I’ll talk more about what’s been going on in our world later in the post, but I just wanted to say up top: I’ve missed all of you! I’ve been so busy! I hope not to go this long without blogging again! Continue reading “Monthly Wrap-Up: July 2020”

Books I Love That Have Under 2000 Ratings on Goodreads

color books on grey wooden backgroundThere are so many great books out there that don’t get noticed nearly enough. These are all books that I gave 5 stars to, but that have less than 2000 ratings on Goodreads. I thought it would be fun to talk about some of these books, and hopefully get them some more love, which they all deserve! Continue reading “Books I Love That Have Under 2000 Ratings on Goodreads”
