I was tagged by Reg over at Bookish in Bed to do this tag. Thank you so much for the tag! If you aren’t following her, what are you doing? Go over there now and check her out. I’ll be here waiting for you when you get back…
Did you do it? Great! I was excited for this tag because it is decidedly Christmas-y and cozy and I am here for it. Here are the rules for the tag!
Rules:
- Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post.
- Display the banner(copy and paste).
- Link to the original creator: Erin @ Reading On A Star !
- Answer the questions!
- Tag however many people as you want!
Snow Day – What’s your “comfort” book?
Oh, my comfort book is absolutely Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. If ever I am in a terrible reading slump, or I just want a book I know I can snuggle right into, it is P&P. You need only look at my bookshelf to know my love for this book 🙂
Snow Angels – What’s a book that you love so much you would want to be buried with it (a little morbid, but..)?
My absolute favorite book (which all of you know if you have been following my blog for any length of time) is Winter of Fire by Sherryl Jordan. I did a re-read of it earlier this year and it made me so happy. This could very legitimately answer the previous question as well. I have a special edition of this book (which is out-of-print) and it is one of my most prized possessions.
Warm Socks – What’s a book that makes you feel warm inside? (the fluffiest, cutest romance book you’ve ever read?)
I have read a lot of cute, fluffy romances, but I will go with Tweet Cute by Emma Lord. It was such a sweet story, and I read it super quickly. I love both of the main characters and the play on the You’ve Got Mail story was super well done.
Hot Cocoa – What winter-themed novels have you previously read?
I’ve read quite a few winter-themed novels – largely through my book club, which does a winter-themed book every December. Here are as many as I could remember:
Eight Winter Nights by Liz Maverick
The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon
An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas
The Christmas Pact by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward
Star of the East by Tasha Alexander
That Silent Night by Tasha Alexander
Sledding – What’s a book with the best plot twists? Who’s an author that always keeps you on your toes?
The first book I could think of was Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. It had such amazing twists that I absolutely did not see coming!
An author that always keeps me on my toes is probably Tasha Alexander. Her Lady Emily mystery series is so well written and is always surprising in the best way.
Ugly Sweaters – What’s a book with the ugliest cover?
This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I think the cover for All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven is an ugly cover.
Movie Marathon – What’s the last book you binge read?
The last book I binge read is also the last series I binge read. I discovered and fell in love with the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas earlier this year. I cannot wait for A Court of Silver Flames to come out next year!!
Letter to Santa – What’s a book that’s on your wishlist this year?
Oh I have so many books on my wishlist it isn’t even funny! I’ll choose just one for the sake of this question. I really want to read My Calamity Jane by the Lady Janies, which I just got in the mail today!

If I don’t get to it by the end of the month it will probably be one of my January reads
