With the prospect of my trip to Japan on the horizon (we fly out on June 13!), I spent pretty much all of my Christmas and birthday money on new travel products from Amazon! I had been doing some fairly intense research for products that would be good for my Japan trip, so I had an entire list saved of travel products to purchase.
Here is a list of some travel essentials and must-haves from Amazon for 2023!!

iWalk Portable Phone Charger

This phone charger is ideal for travel, since it is the size of a tube of lipstick and it can be plugged into your phone while you are still out and about walking around. I wished I had this on my recent trip to New York, when I was rationing out my battery so we could find our way back to our hotel. If you have this with you, you don’t have to worry about your phone dying from all of the pictures you are taking and using GoogleMaps to navigate a new city.

Anker PowerCore Portable Charger

This charger is not as walking around friendly as the iWalk charger, but it can charge your products more than the other. This is one ideal for when you are sitting around somewhere that you don’t have access to an outlet.

BESTEK Power Adaptor with Extension Cord

This power adaptor is awesome because it has multiple power ports, as well as USB slots. You can plug all of your devices into one spot, and it has a long extension cord so that you can use it wherever you want in your hotel room. I have been in several hotels where the only power outlet is in a highly inconvenient place. This helps eliminate that problem. It also comes with multiple voltage converters so you can choose the one that works for the country you are visiting, and then store the whole thing in the included travel bag.

DDgro Electronics Organizer

I’m really excited about this electronics organizer! It has so many pockets and slots for your various cords and plugs that inevitably end up in a tangle in the bottom of your purse when you are traveling. This way you can be assured that you won’t forget anything or lose anything. It even comes with velcro cord straps to help corral your cords. This is the small size, but it comes in medium and large, as well as a whole array of other colors.
Packing Cubes/Pouches
Canvas Zipper Pouches

Zipper pouches are a great way to keep your bags organized. I like to use these in my personal item to corral things like hand sanitizer, an eyemask, bandaids, travel meds, hand lotion, etc. There are tons and tons of sizes and patterns to choose from.

BAGAIL Compression Packing Cubes

I have long been a proponent of using packing cubes in your suitcase. They help keep things organized and help get you some extra space. Then I started hearing about compression packing cubes. They give you even more space, and I am all about that! This set comes in a 4, 5, or 6 set, and includes a bag for shoes. There are tons of different colors and multiple sizes.

Clear Toiletry Bags

For years I have use a quart size Ziplock bag for my liquids when I go through airport security. I have always felt like I could potentially have more space if I were to use a different shaped bag that still fit the size requirement. After a lot of research, this bag seems to fit the bill, and comes in a pack of three! And, they are TSA approved!
BAGSMART Travel Jewelry Organizer Case

I have been using the same travel jewelry roll for years, but it is notorious for getting my necklaces all tangled. This jewelry organizer is fantastic because it has snaps specifically for that purpose. It also has a spot for earrings, and the leather is super soft and buttery.

WALNEW AirTag Passport and Vaccine Card Holder

I was so excited when I found this passport holder! It has space for your passport, vaccine card, credit cards (with RFID blocking technology), two SIM card slots and a zippered pouch that you can put cash/coins in. This can be your entire travel wallet, which I really appreciate. It also comes with a small pen for those customs forms you have to fill out. It does not come with an AirTag, but you can add your own for extra security.

Avoogue Lightweight Waterproof Rain Jacket

In my research for Japan, I found out that June is their rainy season. It is also pretty warm, so I wanted to find a jacket that wouldn’t make me hot but would also keep me dry. This jacket is lightweight and water proof and comes in tons of fun colors. It has zippered pockets, which is always nice for travel. It also comes with a bag you can store the jacket in when you aren’t using it and it becomes quite compact, which is important when you are trying to pack light!

BAODINI Travel Mini Umbrella for Purse With Case

Along the same vein as the rain jacket, I knew a travel umbrella would be a good buy for Japan. This one has a hard carrying case, which made me feel better about potentially sticking a wet umbrella in my bag. It has UV protection and comes in a ton of cute colors.

Collapsible Water Bottle

One thing that a lot of people don’t think about is bringing your own water bottle with you when you travel. As you probably know, you cannot bring a filled water bottle through security when you fly. You can, however, absolutely bring an empty one! You can then take it to any bottle filling station in the terminal, and voila, non-expensive airport water!
This collapsible water bottle is especially ingenious because it is also a giant space saver! When you are finished drinking, you can collapse it down and it takes up very little space.
Twist Memory Foam Travel Pillow

I have been looking for a good travel pillow for years, and this one is so different than anything else I’ve seen. I will be honest, I haven’t tested this one out yet, but I have high hopes. It can be twisted into so many different configurations, depending on where you are sitting on the plane (window, aisle, or the dreaded middle seat). And this pillow comes with an eye-mask and earplugs in a travel case. I enjoy that it is memory foam, and has a super soft cover.
