I had a bit of a slow reading month in February, so I only ended up reading 7 books. I was a bit obsessed with Hogwarts Legacy 😂 But, here are my thoughts on the books that I did end up reading during the month of February!
2021, as a whole, was actually a pretty normal year for us. Aside from continued COVID precautions, getting vaccinated, getting started promoting my wedding music business again, traveling back to Nashville for a vacation, having a crazy blizzard at the beginning of the year, starting my monthly tea parties again, and reading more than I ever have before. Huh. I guess it was more eventful than I thought 😉
This month I read a total of 18 books! I honestly didn’t think I would ever surpass last month’s total, but I guess I proved myself wrong haha (To be fair, a couple of these books were less than 50 pages…but I think they still count!)
While I am aiming for 150, I am also aiming to diversify my reading. I am trying to break into genres I don’t typically gravitate toward. I am hoping to read more non-fiction and classics. And, as always, I am taking part in several reading challenges.
This month I read a total of 16 books! I have been on fire these past two months, and I’m hoping this will continue to be the trend. I’m a little worried that I’m going to burn myself out, but I guess that’s future me’s problem 😂

I decided that this year I would like to try my hand at participating in Top Ten Tuesday, a meme that was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Hello everyone! My life was kind of crazy the past two months, and I apologize for being gone for so long. Things have finally settled down for me a bit, so hopefully I will be updating the blog on a more regular basis now. I am going to do a combination wrap-up post for both September and October, especially since I only read three books in October.
I read a total of 8 books in September and 3 books in October. I will talk more about why my count was so low in October in my Getting Personal section below.
I’m going to try to do things slightly differently this year. I am going to keep y’all updated on how my various book challenges are going in each of my monthly wrap-ups.
