Harry Potter Anniversary Week: Top 7 Characters

I was tagged by Margaret @ Weird Zeal to participate in this very special event! Every day for the next week, I will be posting a Harry Potter related post to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the UK! Today is Day 3 – Top 7 Characters! Here is what Margaret had to say:

This year, on June 26th, will be 21 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was published in the UK. And yes, 21 is kind of an awkward number, but I didn’t have a blog last year for the 20th anniversary, and I guess that mean the series can legally drink in the US, which means nothing because it’s British, but ANYWAYS.

I will be posting something Harry Potter related on the seven days leading up to June 26th, and I’m inviting you to join me!

May Subscription Box: OwlCrate

In May, I did receive two book subscription boxes. I got my box from OwlCrate, as always, because they are the best! I also got a box from Once Upon a Bookclub! Since I haven’t read the entire book yet, and you have to open the gifts in that particular box on specified pages of the book, I am going to be posting a separate blog on it. It will probably go up sometime next month.

So, today will be dedicated solely to the May OwlCrate box! Let’s get to the unboxing!!

Seventeen-year-old Alice and her mother have spent most of Alice’s life on the road, always a step ahead of the uncanny bad luck biting at their heels. But when Alice’s grandmother, the reclusive author of a cult-classic book of pitch-dark fairy tales, dies alone on her estate, the Hazel Wood, Alice learns how bad her luck can really get: her mother is stolen away―by a figure who claims to come from the Hinterland, the cruel supernatural world where her grandmother’s stories are set.
