This year I started writing mini-reviews over on my Instagram whenever I finish a book. It has been a really great way of remembering more about my thoughts on a book and why I gave it the star rating I did. So, I thought it would be good practice to corral those mini-reviews into one place twice a month so that all of you can take a peek at what I’ve been reading and see my thoughts on each book.

I have seen a ton of Booktube channels doing the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag, and it made me want to give it a go!
I realize we are a bit past “mid-year” by now, but I was kind of on an unofficial hiatus when “mid-year” hit, so I am doing it now! This seemed like such a fun way to talk about the books I have read so far this year, especially since there were a few months where I didn’t post anything here. Wow, it has been a hot minute since I was last here! I’m sorry for disappearing for so long. Grad school has been way more consuming than I thought. It hasn’t affected my reading, surprisingly, but the thought of sitting down to craft blog posts was just a little too much for my already stressed and anxious self. I am winding down on the end of my second course, and I am finally feeling like I can come up for air a little bit. I’ll talk more about what’s been going on in our world later in the post, but I just wanted to say up top: I’ve missed all of you! I’ve been so busy!
