I have been nominated for the Unique Blogger Award by three amazing blogger ladies (which shows just how behind on this I am haha). Thank you so much to Siobhan @ Siobhan’s Novelties, Bree @ In Love and Words, and Clarissa @ The Quirky Lady Bookworm! If you aren’t following their blogs, go over there and check them out now! I promise, I’ll still be here when you get back.
Unique Blogger Award Rules:
1: Display the award
2: Thank the person who nominated you and post a link to their blog on your blog
3: Answer the questions they’ve written for you
4: Nominate 8-13 bloggers and give them three questions in the spirit of sharing love and solidarity within our blogging family!
Siobhan’s Questions
1: Which author would you love to co-write a book with?
I think I will go with a living author, for the sake of being completely realistic 😉 I would love to co-write a book with Jenny Colgan. She does a lot of baking…in Scotland…need I say more? Plus she just seems delightful!
2: If you could only read books from five authors for the rest of your life, who would you choose?
Jane Austen, J.K. Rowling, Shauna Niequist, Tamera Alexander, Cassandra Clare
3: Which genre do you like the least?
I’m going to have to go with either horror or hard-core sci-fi
Bree’s Questions
1: What are your favorite type of book blogger posts to read and why?
I generally really like to read tags, award posts, and memes like WWW Wednesday or Top Ten Tuesdays. I really like how engaging they are, and how I feel like I get to know the blogger a little bit better each time.
2: Who is one of your favorite main characters ever written and why? (And what book are they from?)
This is really a tie for me (I tried to choose just one, but I couldn’t!)
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice is witty, sassy, and an excellent walker. I want to be her, but the her after she gets over her pride and…umm, prejudice.
Elsha from Winter of Fire by Sherryl Jordan is also sassy, determined, intelligent, and just an all around badass! She made my 12/13-year-old self want to be her, and my 30-year-old self still does!
3: Do you like poetry? Do you like reading poetry on blogs?
I like poetry fairly well. I don’t read a whole lot of it, though. I will read poetry on blogs if it is a blogger that I love very much 🙂
Clarissa’s Questions
1: If you took a nap and woke up in the world of one of your books – where would you be waking up?
I will go with the least scary options and be waking up in one of Austen’s novels. Really any of them would be lovely.
2: If you could body swap with any character, who would you pick and why?
I think I would go with Isabelle Lightwood from the Shadowhunters universe. She is powerful and able to kick some serious booty!
3: Give a piece of advice to new book bloggers!
Write about what you love! Don’t feel like you have to do what everyone else is doing. Just write about what you love, and you will continue to love writing about it!
My Nominations:
Samantha @ Modern Witch’s Bookshelf
Teagan and Jess @ Fiction No Chaser
Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books
My Questions:
1: What are the types of posts that you enjoy writing the most?
2: Who are your auto-buy authors?
3: What is your preferred method of reading (physical, e-book, audio, etc.), and why?
Love and happy reading,
Thank you so much for the nomination! ❤
I agree with you about tags and memes, they are really fun to read and I love all the recommendations we get and how we can get to know a blogger a bit more that way, too 😀
