WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words! All you have to do is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I am planning on starting to read City of Ghosts either today or tomorrow. I am excited to have a middle grade level of scary in my life right before Halloween haha
I am listening to Lolita on audio right now. It is our book club’s pick for the month of October. I will honestly say it is not a book I ever intended to pick up, but I get to listen to Jeremy Irons talking for 11.5 hours, so that makes it more worth it 😉
What did you recently finish reading?
I finally finished The Witch of Willow Hall! I got this as an e-ARC from NetGalley. I ended up really enjoying it. Stay tuned for a full review next Monday! (4.5 Stars)
I absolutely loved The Belles! I also listened to this one on audio. You can read my full review of it here! (5 Stars)
I ended up liking Bookish Boyfriends: A Date with Darcy fairly well. It was a cute story, and certainly a nice fluffy read. I enjoyed how Schmidt was able to weave both Romeo and Juliet and Pride and Prejudice into the story. What I was not a huge fan of was the heroine, Merrilee. I found her to be a little bit too manic pixie girl. She was ditzy but also smart? This was mentioned several times seemingly because it was not apparent without consistent reminders…Overall though, it was a fun spoof off of one of my favorite stories. (3 Stars)
What do you think you’ll read next?
I am aware that Hocus Pocus & the All-New Sequel is probably just the movie written verbatim into novel form. But, I can’t skip this book when it is almost Halloween!!
House of Gold is another e-ARC from NetGalley. It actually released on Monday, so I will attempt to get this one read fairly quickly.
Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? What are you currently reading? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
