I sincerely apologize for how little I’ve been posting lately. My life is kind of exploding at the moment, and I just couldn’t spare the mental energy to post on here. I will explain this in further detail in the next section.

Getting Personal:

The month of May has been a whirlwind in the best way possible!

I had three baby showers in honor of our upcoming adoption! It was so much fun and I felt so overwhelmed with love and support from my friends and family. My parents came up for a week and helped my husband and me to put together her nursery. And, we got amazing news – we will be going to bring home in a couple of weeks! So, fair warning, my blogging schedule will likely be almost non-existent (even more so than it already is!). I’m hoping to maybe post a few update posts, but that is completely up in the air.

I also left my job, as I will be becoming a stay-at-home mom for the foreseeable future. Quitting a little bit early has allowed me to take some time to nest, as well as rest. I’m trying to sleep and read and just generally do nothing as much as humanly possible before adding our new tiny human into our lives!!

I’ve also been trying to make time to see friends as much as possible before we bring our darling girl home. It has been nice to see so many of my lovely friends faces this month 🙂

So, basically my life has been an explosion of adoption this month, and it will be finally happening next month!! I am simultaneously ecstatic and terrified, but I’ve been assured this is normal 😉
