Leslie’s Questions:

1: Favorite band or artist?

This is hard for me, so I will just go with the one that is my favorite at the moment – P!NK. She is amazingly talented (far more so than she gets credit for). My love for her knows no bounds!

2: Best read of 2019, so far?

Ooh, I will go with Far From The Tree by Robin Benway. It was such a great novel and it made me cry (which was a bit dangerous, because I listened to it while driving haha).

3: Most anticipated read this year?

I’m super excited for several books that have actually already come out this year. I keep putting them off because I don’t want to read them and already have them be over (I know that makes no sense!!) These books include On The Come Up by Angie Thomas, The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson, and Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian.

4: Have you met any authors? If so, who?

I have now met so many authors!! The city where I live has a ton of author events and a book festival, so here is a list of all of the authors I can remember meeting:

Again, this is super hard, so I will list one of each, but I don’t know if I can say they are my absolute favorite:

6: Do your family and friends know about your blog?

Oh yes! I talk about it all of the time, and several of my friends and family read it on a regular basis.

7: Do you prefer hardbacks/paperbacks or ebooks?

I really don’t have a preference. I am a non-discriminatory reader haha

8: Your most recent book haul.

I actually haven’t really had a haul in a while. The most recent book I bought was Mine In China by Kelly Mayfield.

9: How do you organize your bookshelves?

The bookshelves for most of my books are organized by genre, and then alphabetical by title within that genre. My TBR shelf in my office is organized kind of strangely. One section is books I got from book subscription boxes, another is books that I got signed at book festivals, another is books I was given as gifts, another is hardcovers, another paperbacks, another ARCs, another non-fiction.

10: Who is one of your favorite bloggers? I’d love to follow.

I have a bunch of favorites! A few of mine are Bree @ In Love & Words, Marie @ Drizzle & Hurricane Books, and Luna @ Bookish Luna

11: Favorite season?

I love both spring and fall equally. I love the changing of the seasons. The weather is the best in these two seasons and the world is the most beautiful.

Brittany’s Questions:

1: Do you read reviews when deciding what book to read next?

I generally try to avoid reviews so that I won’t get spoilers, but also so that my opinion of a book isn’t swayed by what someone else thinks. The reviews I tend to read are for books that I didn’t already have an interest in reading, or books I have never heard of before.

2: Do you have music or a tv show or a movie playing as you write this? If so, what song or show or movie is on?

No, I can’t really write and watch things. I get distracted by the dialogue. The same goes for music with lyrics. If I ever listen to music while I write, it is instrumental only, generally movie soundtracks.

3: What is the best book you have read so far this year?

See above: Far From The Tree by Robin Benway 🙂

4: What is your favorite food?

It is a toss up between cereal, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes.

5: Do you fold your laundry right after you finish washing it or does it sit in a pile or basket forever?

Hahaha definitely the latter

6: Your most recent book haul?

Again, I haven’t really had a haul in a while. I guess what this is telling me is that I need to go book shopping!

7: What is your spirit animal?

I don’t really know what my spirit animal is, but my favorite animal is the panther

8: What is your favorite book-to-screen adaptation?

I am in love the the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini series from the 90s. It is perfect and you cannot convince me otherwise 😉

9: How far away do you currently live from your hometown?

I live about 700 miles from my hometown!

10: What do you get every time you go grocery shopping? Any guilty pleasures?

I always pick up milk, Greek yogurt, and cereal.

11: What is your favorite way to spend a rainy afternoon?

I love to curl up on the sofa with my husband and my dogs and either read or watch Netflix.
