2023 was a great year for me! I got to travel to Japan. My daughter started first grade. I completed my first full year at a job that I love. I finally got to meet my best friend’s baby in person. And I read, a lot. 🙂
2022 was a pretty good, and eventful, year for me! I had a hysterectomy for medical reasons. I started a new job that I love. My daughter started kindergarten. My best friend had a baby. I got to go on an amazing trip to New York that my husband surprised me with. And I read, a lot. 🙂
2021, as a whole, was actually a pretty normal year for us. Aside from continued COVID precautions, getting vaccinated, getting started promoting my wedding music business again, traveling back to Nashville for a vacation, having a crazy blizzard at the beginning of the year, starting my monthly tea parties again, and reading more than I ever have before. Huh. I guess it was more eventful than I thought 😉
I think we can all say that 2020 was a very strange and eventful year, even with us quarantining for a vast majority of it. I started grad school for library science this year, though I actually withdrew from my grad school program a few months later (because it was focusing on school librarianship, and I want to pursue public librarianship). I recently started a job as a library page at a branch of our local public library, and I am really enjoying it! We also moved unexpectedly this year! We moved back to Texas, which is where I grew up, so that we could be closer to my family. My daughter started in-person pre-school this year. It has been a hard year for everyone, but it has still had some great moments for me! And, I read WAY more books than I anticipated!!

I am a few weeks late on this, but I wanted to go ahead and post my yearly wrap-up for 2019! It was a crazy year for me. The vast majority of my year was focused on our adoption. After waiting for what felt like forever, we finally adopted our daughter in 2019! It has been an amazing and stressful journey, but it finally feels like we are settling down into a good routine. Other than the adoption, I spent a lot of time with family and friends, as well as some much needed time with my husband. I left my job and became a stay-at-home mom. 2018 was a pretty good year for me. I switched jobs, started a blog, did a lot of adoption paperwork, threw monthly tea parties, and spent a lot of time with family and friends. I also read A TON of BOOKS!!!
