WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words! All you have to do is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I just started Hocus Pocus & The All-New Sequel today, which is fitting since it is Halloween! I’m excited for all of the nostalgic feels that I’m sure I’ll be experiencing today 🙂
House of Gold is my current NetGalley e-ARC. It is set around the time of WWI, which is one of my favorite time periods, so I’m pretty excited about it!
What did you recently finish reading?
City of Ghosts was my first Victoria Schwab book, and I must say that I was very pleased! I wanted to read a spooky book around Halloween, and this seemed like a good choice for me. I absolutely adored Cassidy and Jacob, I just wanted to squeeze them (even though I couldn’t, because Jacob is a ghost 😉 ) Also, Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities of all time, so getting to go back there for a little while was great fun. I enjoyed the story, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this precious little series! (4 Stars)
Lolita was our book club’s pick for the month of October. I can honestly say that I have never had any desire to read this, and now I know that my instincts were correct. I listened to this on audio, with Jeremy Irons narrating. This was the only way that I was able to finish this book. Apart from the generally uncomfortable subject matter, I was also not a fan of Nabokov’s writing style. I felt like he made the book about twice as long as it really needed to be simply because he would wax poetic about the scenery or his feelings for so long that I continually caught myself thinking, “Alright, get on with it already!” Listening to it on audio allowed me to just zone out a little bit when he was droning on, and also when he was going into uncomfortable detail about his lust for this 12 year old girl. Not my favorite. (2 Stars)
The Poet X was an absolutely amazing book! I have never read a novel written in verse before, and I loved it! I will be posting a full review of this on Monday, so stay tuned! (5 Stars)
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m excited to finally get to Escaping from Houdini! I have no doubt that it will be just as great as the first two books in this series! If you are interested in my thoughts on those two books, check out my review here.
I am going to start on the audiobook for News of the World soon. I am taking a small audiobook break for a short bit, just because I feel like I have oversaturated myself with them a bit. But, this is my next listen!
Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? What are you currently reading? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
Such great books listed! I really want to read Hocus Pocus, it looks really good. Lolita also wasn’t for me. Not sure why it’s considered a “must-read” by a lot of people. Happy reading!

Thanks! I’m excited to dive into Hocus Pocus today 🙂 And I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way about Lolita. I always feel bad when I don’t like a classic, but this was really just not for me

I really liked City of Ghosts, also! It wasn’t as in-depth as Schwab’s other books, but it was still a fun one. I can’t wait to see where she goes with the series. Happy Halloween!

Not read City of Ghosts yet- but I’ve recently gotten into V. E Schwab and her writing is AMAZING! It’s high on my TBR list 😀

This is the first book of hers I’ve read! I have A Darker Shade of Magic and Vicious, but I haven’t read either of them yet.
