What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I am super excited to get started reading With This Pledge! Be on the lookout for a special blog collab I will be doing with the author, Tamera Alexander!!
I started listening to I’ll Be Gone In The Dark a couple of days ago, and it is very interesting so far. It has also made me a bit more paranoid than normal 😂
What did you recently finish reading?
The Whole-Brain Child was a really great parenting resource. I enjoyed how they didn’t bog you down with too many scientific explanations and made it pretty user friendly. I will definitely be putting several of the techniques in this book into practice when we get our daughter here from China! (4 Stars)
I am a huge fan of the Discovery of Witches series, so when I heard that Harkness was writing Time’s Convert, I was thrilled. It was such a fun read. Getting to see behind the scenes into the process of becoming a vampire was fascinating. And getting to see more about Marcus’ past was such a fun time for the history nerd in my heart. I enjoyed that we still got to see what was going on with Diana and Matthew as well, but that it didn’t overpower Marcus and Phoebe’s story. A must-read for anyone who loves this series! (5 Stars)
Braving the Wilderness is my first Brené Brown book, and I enjoyed it, but wasn’t over the moon. Perhaps I went into it expecting too much, but I wasn’t blown away. I thought she made some very good points about believing in yourself and finding your courage. Overall, I thought it was well done, but a bit underwhelming. (3 Stars)
I was looking for some light-hearted romance, so I didn’t expect the tears that came pouring down my face while reading From Lukov With Love. While this book is labeled a romance, it was about so much more than that. It was about working hard at a body-breaking sport, perseverance, believing in yourself, and conquering childhood fears. I loved the relationship between Jasmine and Ivan, and I loved this book! (5 Stars)
What do you think you’ll read next?
I plan to start on Daughter of Moloka’i as soon as I am finished reading With This Pledge.
Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? What are you currently reading? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
From Lukov With Love ❤ ❤ ❤
