Monthly Wrap-Up: January 2021

Hello everyone! It’s the beginning of a new year, and so I have new goals! This month, I have read 15 books!! That is crazy, even for me, but it is the pace I actually intend to keep up. I have set myself with a goal of reading 150 books this year. I have met and exceeded my goal of 100 for a few years now, so I thought aiming for 150 would be an actual challenge for me.

While I am aiming for 150, I am also aiming to diversify my reading. I am trying to break into genres I don’t typically gravitate toward. I am hoping to read more non-fiction and classics. And, as always, I am taking part in several reading challenges.

Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases for 2021 ~ Book Review: You Have a Match ~ Mini-Reviews // First Half of January 2021 ~ Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Meant to Read in 2020 But Didn’t Get To ~ Book Review: The Four Winds

I’m getting back into the swing of blogging again after a bit of a rocky second half of 2020. I’m hoping I can keep up this pace, and maybe even a little more than I’m doing now.

Getting Personal:

Happy 2021 everyone! This was a pretty good month overall. I am going full swing in my job as a library page. I’m really enjoying it, and I can’t wait to see what opportunities this position might elevate me to in the future.

As far as other things going on, my daughter has had her surgery follow up (she had ear tubes put in back in December) and things are looking really good! Her hearing is registering closer to normal range, which is fantastic!

We honestly didn’t do just a terrible lot this month. The only other big thing is that I got new bookshelves for my office! They are the IKEA Billy bookshelves, which I saw a ton of people on Instagram using. They were having a big sale, and voila! I’m a bit obsessed with them 😍

My February TBR Pile:

Phoenix Flame by Sara Holland

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

The Huntress by Kate Quinn

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

How many books did you read this month? Have you read any of the books I read? Are you participating in any reading challenges? What about the books on my TBR for February? Let me know down in the comments!

Interested in my yearly wrap-up for 2020? Check it out here!

Love and happy reading,

Whitney
