Getting Personal:
March was an absolutely crazy month for me! So much happened, and it felt simultaneously like it flew by like a freight train, but also like it moved like a snail.
March was the month of adoption progress! We got news that everything is moving forward far faster than we anticipated. I’m not going to go into details, but it looks like we will be traveling to bring her home within the next couple of months! There was a consignment sale at my church, so I was able to get a ton of great stuff for her for pretty cheap, which was fantastic! We got her room painted, so it is ready to be filled with all sorts of pretty things 🙂
My husband and I went to two great concerts. I got to see P!NK live for the first time, and she was absolutely fabulous (just as I knew she would be!). I also took my husband for his birthday to see the symphony play the music along with the movie Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (which is his favorite movie!).
And one of my dear friends from college is getting married in April, so I went to her bridal shower this month! It was so good to get to see her, as she lives far away from me and I rarely see her in real life.
I also got to go to the book release party for Ashley Herring Blake’s new middle grade novel, The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James! I’m so excited to dive into this one on my beach vacation next week!!
My April TBR Pile:
The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James by Ashley Herring Blake
Mine In China by Kelly Mayfield
The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
How many books did you read this month? Have you read any of the books I read? What about the books on my TBR for March? To my fellow bloggers, how do you get out of a blogging slump? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
Cannot wait to see photos of your new family member. Congrats!
