WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words! All you have to do is answer the following three questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
So, you may or may not have noticed that it has been quite a while since I last posted a WWW Wednesday post (since February 6th, to be exact). I just needed a little break for a while, but now I’m back! I have read a lot of books since my last post, so I am only going to include the books that I have finished reading in the month of March, rather than all of the books I have finished since my last post. And then we will merrily continue on from there!
What are you currently reading?
I have been wanting to read The Shadowhunter’s Codex for a while, and I finally picked it up. It is a little more dry than I was expecting, so it is taking me a little longer than I anticipated. But, I have decided that I am just going to take a leisurely stroll through this book.
Before The Devil Breaks You is the 3rd book in The Diviners series and it is really great so far. I am listening to all of these books on audio, which I highly recommend for two reasons. One, if you are a scaredy cat like me, I do much better with scary books than I do with scary movies (the visuals are what kill me). Two, the narrator is fantastic! I now want to listen to everything that January LaVoy does!
I just started reading Thomas Wildus and the Book of Sorrows last night. It is a little different for me (I don’t read a ton of middle grade), but it has hooked me now.
What did you recently finish reading?
I wrote a review for The Everlasting Rose a week ago. It was fantastic!! (5 Stars)
Lair of Dreams is the 2nd book in The Diviners series. The book was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed getting to dive deeper into some of the side characters from the first book. I found the mystery to be fascinating. The only thing that still bothers me is the gratuitous use of 1920’s slang. Other than that, this is an amazing book! Also, I love the narrator, January LaVoy!! (4.5 Stars)
Under an English Heaven is the first cozy mystery that I have ever read. My mom reads cozy mysteries all of the time, so I wanted to give it a try. I enjoyed the setting (an idyllic English village), and in the end the mystery was intriguing. However, I found myself getting bored in the middle of the book. Also, the main character kept making really stupid choices, so I kept yelling at her. So, I might try other books in this genre, but I won’t be continuing with this particular series. (3 Stars)
What do you think you’ll read next?
I want to start having a parenting/adoption book going at all times, so Twenty Things Adopted Kids With Their Adoptive Parents Knew will be an ongoing read for a while.
I have decided to try to re-read all of Austen’s works this year. But, I have a confession to make…I have never actually read Lady Susan! I’m excited to knock this one out soon.
Have you read any of these books? What are your thoughts on them? What are you currently reading? Let me know down in the comments!
Love and happy reading,
I have The Everlasting Rose, but I’m so scared that it’s not going to be as great as I built it up to be!

I really need to check out The Diviners By Libba Bray. She is an author I have been hearing about for a long time. Nothing but amazing things. I am currently rereading Ace of Shades. I am getting myself ready to start King of Fools once I finish that.

I have really enjoyed this series! And I have Ace of Shades sitting on my shelf right now. It sounds like you are a fan since you are rereading it?

I’m so excited to read Before The Devil Breaks You, I loved the first two books (but The Diviners just a tiny bit more) I really enjoyed Lady Susan, it’s a wild ride. Very different from Austen’s other books. I hope you’ll enjoy it 😊
